How do I get a TypeSafe key?

Bring your own key (BYOK). Requires a TypeSafe account and API key.

Open TypeSafe API keys . Create an account or sign in.
Get your API key from the dashboard.
In Onward Settings, paste it into TypeSafe API key and select Save preferences.

What leaves my browser?

Your goal, page URL, title and visible text go to TypeSafe during a session.
Form fields are excluded. API keys stay in Chrome session memory.
Optional reports share only the reviewed URL and goal with Onward.

How often are pages checked?

The first check starts about 1.2 seconds after loading.
Visible pages are sampled about every 15 seconds. Unchanged pages reuse results for five minutes.
Activity shows each API response time and the average.

Costs and limits

The extension is free. TypeSafe API charges may apply.
Only text is checked; images, video and Chrome’s protected pages are excluded.
Errors and uncertain results leave the page open.
Allowlist sites, stop the session, or report an incorrect redirect.
